Markers on Final Cut Pro

This is a technique that can be for most styles of editing and can also come in handy when editing music videos. The blue arrow shaped dots are called markers. These can be inserted by clicking the 'M' key but this process will only work if you after selecting the sound bar and playing the clip. In the picture, i added markers to match the beat of the song being played. When adding visuals to the soundtrack you have marked, it is easier to maintain the continuity in the video. If the marker was to be placed in the wrong part of the timeline, you are able to delete it by hovering the playhead over the marker and pressing the 'M' key for a second time. This will bring up a small menu enabling you to delete and even change the colour the marker. By changing the colour you are able to mark different elements in the audio such as beginning of verses and the chorus.
