Loglines

A logline is a short synopsis or description written in as less words as possible. It is a general summery of the film and contains some of the key points without giving the main plot of the film away. Sky has a common use for them as the viewer is able to see what the film is about and if it appeals to them. It is said that they should contain up to 30 words but Blake Snyder came up with this idea;

'On the verge of [insert bad thing here], a [flawed hero] has [big thing happens] and [story set-up]. But when [story middle happens] he/she must learn [theme of your movie] before [awful thing that will happen if they fail].'

This became very popular in helping film directors to create popular loglines to help sell and intrigue the particle audiences they have planned to reach.
