Definitions of Research Methods

Primary Research - This is research that you conduct yourself using interviews, questionnaires, observations, focus groups and interviews.

Secondary Research - This is a research that you get from what other people have wrote such as articles on the internet, videos, audio recordings, books, magazines and journals.

Audience Researching - This is when you look into what the audience want to watch. You can use demographics, audience classification such as age, gender, occupation and education, media preference, buying/consumption patterns.

Production Research - Researching what requirements you have as a production team including content, resources such as personnel, equipment, set up, cost, viability.
