What does your character want? (WANT- NOT NEED)
My character wants desperately throughout the whole film to get the children of the ward to believe that santa is real and does visit children who are in hospital. This is his wish throughout the whole film.
What obstacles must they overcome to get what they want?
Some of the larger obstacles that my character has to face is the fact that the children are being told and believing that Santa doesn't deliver presents to children who are in hospital. Another obstacle that may get in my characters way is the journey back up to the north pole as Buddy has pretty much forgotten the way.
In the end, do they get it? Was getting/not getting it good or bad for them?
At the end of the film, Santa comes to the hospital where all the children are staying and takes them on a magical tour back to the north pole.
Why do we care? What makes your story so damn interesting that people are willing to give up two hours of their life on it?
The audience should care because it is a family orientated film and it will relate to children world wide. Also it is a sequel to ELF a popular christmas film.
What does the character NEED?
My character needs to find his way to the north pole and be able to agree with Santa that taking the children back to the north pole will convince them that he is real and it will help spread christmas spirit.
What is this story happening now? Why is the character a particular age?
The story is happening now because christmas is a highly celebrated thing and it is about time that elf returns.
What is the characters worst nightmare?
Christmas is cancelled because there is no christmas spirit.
What would your main character willingly die for?
Christmas spirit to last forever.
